A few factors contributed to the unsuccessful stint of Allen Robinson with the Los Angeles Rams. Injuries struck 10 games into the season, he had limited time to bond with quarterback Matthew Stafford during the offseason, and his role in the offense might not have aligned with his abilities.

Instead of capitalizing on Robinson's size and physicality by positioning him as the X-receiver on the outside, the Rams experimented with various formations. Unfortunately, the connection between him and Stafford never fully materialized, leading to a lackluster performance of 33 catches and 339 yards in 2022.
The Rams traded Robinson to the Pittsburgh Steelers last week, and he was officially introduced to the media on Monday. During the press conference, he employed a compelling analogy to imply that the Rams' offense had not utilized him effectively.
«If you're a fork, you don't want to be used as a spoon the majority of the time,» Robinson quoted, as reported by Alan Saunders of Steelers Now.

Robinson had previously demonstrated his ability to excel in challenging offensive scenarios. In 2015, he achieved a Pro Bowl-worthy season with the Jacksonville Jaguars, amassing 1,400 yards and an impressive 14 touchdowns. He later delivered two more remarkable seasons with the Chicago Bears.
