Damar Hamlin has raised further inquiries by declining to respond to a particular query during his medical emergency. The Buffalo Bills safety granted his first significant interview since suffering from a cardiac arrest during the "Monday Night Football" game on January 2nd against the Cincinnati Bengals. However, he chose not to answer one question.
Hamlin spoke with Michael Strahan in an interview that was featured on "Good Morning America." The former NFL player pointed out how Hamlin was young and in excellent shape, and inquired how he could have suffered cardiac arrest after making a tackle in the Buffalo Bills' Week 17 match against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Hamlin paused for a moment, then declined to answer. "You're 24, in the prime of your physical condition... how did the doctors explain what happened to you?" Strahan asked.
Hamlin said "ummm," then remained silent for several seconds. "That's something I'm going to refrain from discussing," he said. Strahan then inquired whether Hamlin had ever experienced any signs of heart problems.
"Honestly, no. I've always been a healthy, young, fit, energetic individual. It was something that we are still processing and discussing with my doctors to comprehend everything," Hamlin responded.
