Bad News Bears? HAVE RECENT EVENTS Cast a SHADOW on The Season?
From injuries to Roquan Smith's trade request, it seems as if The Bears CANNOT Catch a break! If things couldn't get any weirder, they did. Today it was reported that an unnamed representative for Roquan Smith is calling teams concerning trade value for Roquan. The issue? Since this person isn't certified by the NFLPA the teams in conversation can be penalized for it. On top of that, as I sit and watch the preseason game, the offensive line doesn't seem to be fairing too well at least up to this point. This isn't a good situation because if players get to Justin Fields he is more likely to get hurt.
The bright spot from the pre-season game is that it seems as if our defensive line is getting to the quarterback be it pressure or hits. This will surely rattle QBs this season. Now the refs also seem to be in midseason form. The refs ignored a hit on Justin Fields' head as you can see below.
