"It's been a rough last couple of years for former Chicago Bears wide receiver Cameron Meredith. After blowing up during the 2016 season where he put together 888 yards and four touchdowns, he was poised to build off that during the 2017 season. However unfortunately Meredith tore his ACL during preseason and didn't play a single game for the Bears that year. The Bears eventually let Meredith walk during the 2018 offseason and he signed with the New Orleans Saints but wasn't able to shake the injury bug. After putting up 114 yards in six games, Meredith was placed on injured reserve with a knee injury and heading into the 2019 season, the Saints decided they don't like what they see. Just a couple of days into camp, the Saints have released Meredith. With big question marks about his health, we'll see if he gets a contract with another team.
#Saints released WR Cameron Meredith, according to a source familiar with the situation. Meredith posted a cryptic post on IG, «It's been fun» that I saw during practice. We now know the reason. — Herbie Teope (@HerbieTeope) July 29, 2019
