The Chicago Bears took on an interesting tactic with the opening of rookie minicamp. Chicago has not one, not two, not three but eight kickers at minicamp all competing for a roster spot. General manager Ryan Pace has made it clear he's trying to create some competition instead of spending big bucks on the market and having Cody Parkey deja vu. Well the team made them go through the "Cody Parkey test" today. With everybody at rookie camp watching, all eight had one chance to nail a 43 yard kick — the same distance Parkey missed against the Eagles in the playoffs. The result?Six misses. After practice Nagy stated «They know loud-and- clear why» the kick was from 43 yards out.
