Bears land top defensive prospect and make great trade in Ryan Wilson's first 2023 mock draft
The NFL offseason will be in full swing in less than a month. We're still in the rumor phase, but you better believe the Chicago Bears have plenty of suitors for that no. 1 overall pick.
With that being said, for those thinking the Bears will keep the pick, you are probably mistaken.
Indeed, this will be an all-out bidding war for the top pick in the draft, and it'll more than likely lead to a team drafting incredible Alabama Qb Bryce Young.
Well, here is a mock draft scenario with the Bears trading the first pick with the Houston Texans, who have the 2nd overall pick. The Texans would make a trade like that in order to prevent other teams to trade up and steal Bryce Young away from them.

Here is what Ryan Wilson said on the first two picks:
Round 1, Pick 1 Houston Texans: Bryce Young
Bryce Young might be historically undersized by successful NFL QB standards but we don't care. He's been that good for Alabama, dragging that team to victory just about every week. And he's doing it with none of the playmakers that made life so much easier for Tua Tagovailoa and Mac Jones in previous years.
Round 1, Pick 2 Chicago Bears: Will Anderson
The Bears moved on from Robert Quinn before the trade deadline so they'll be in the market for an edge rusher this offseason, and Will Anderson is in the same pre-draft conversations as Chase Young and Nick Bosa when it comes to best non-QB players in a class.
In this scenario, the bears would likely receive at least a second-round pick in return. This would be a home-run trade and selection fro Bears Gm Ryan Poles. Will Anderson is a generational talent and he would be a huge contributor to the Bears' defensive front from Day 1.
