Tradition could change in 2019 when it comes to the NFL's season opener. The tradition has been for the defending Super Bowl champs to open the NFL season at home on Thursday night. However the NFL will be celebrating it's 100th anniversary in 2019 and it looks like they could switch things up. Reporter Jeff Duncan is hearing some chatter that the NFL could boot the New England Patriots from the opening Thursday game in favour of a Green Bay Packers/Chicago Bears matchup to celebrate the 100 year anniversary.
