"We've heard it mentioned over the last two weeks and it's now become a reality. According to Ian Rapoport, the Chicago Bears have released tight end Dion Sims. The early release will give Sims a head start on free agency and be able to possibly find a better deal than he would have once the new year started. Sims is considered a cap casuality as he was set to make $6million in 2019. The tight end was one of the Bears' highest paid players last year.
