"With Tarik Cohen gone for the season and the Chicago Bears running back depth chart not exactly oozing with talent, the team addressed that on Friday. After Devonta Freeman was signed by the New York Giants there wasn't much left out there but Bears' general manager Ryan Pace has picked up one of the few remaining veteran free agents. According to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, the Bears have signed Miller to their practice squad. A nice little stash by the team under the COVID-19 roster rules. Miller was cut by the Patriots during training camp and had a couple of tryouts but couldn't find a new contract. If healthy, Miller should be a nice complimentary piece to David Montgomery.
The #Bears are expected to sign veteran RB Lamar Miller to the practice squad, source said. — Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) October 2, 2020
