Speaking to ESPN, Beane acknowledged the need for some adjustments but emphasized their commitment to building around Diggs rather than moving on from him.
"Stef is undeniably a No. 1 receiver. I have no doubt about that," Beane stated firmly. "We need to continue surrounding him with offensive weapons to prevent defenses from double-teaming him or finding ways to shut him down. Teams are well aware of his abilities, and we're going to keep utilizing him."
Beane also recognized Diggs' competitiveness and expressed confidence in his abilities moving forward. Despite any questions or concerns about his recent performance, Beane firmly sees Diggs as their top receiver.
Following Diggs' drop, the Bills missed a critical opportunity to send the game into overtime when kicker Tyler Bass failed to convert a 44-yard field goal. They must now watch the Kansas City Chiefs face the Baltimore Ravens for a chance to compete in next month's Super Bowl.
