He is now working at a company called outsider.com. He is the chief design operator. He also is involved in the podcasting business. He actually has been for a couple of years now. Whether you like the guy or not, you have to admit that he is very well-spoken and he sure knows football.
This begs the question: could Cutler be the next NFL broadcaster? The money in this business is crazy. I'm sure the podcast is paying pretty nicely, but the NFL broadcast is on another level. Tony Romo made over $17 million with CBS last year. This is only for calling around 20 games.
Back in 2017, Cutler was supposed to join FOX as a TV analyst with Kevin Burkhardt and Charles Davis. But, he decided to unretire and go play quarterback for the Miami Dolphins. Cutler mentioned he was very excited about going into broadcasting.
I actually think this might be in his future. I'm sure any of the big TV stations would love to have him and I feel like signing one of those 10+ million contracts wouldn't be so bad for the former Bears quarterback. One thing is for sure, there would be a lot of Bears fans that would listen to the games he calls on Sundays.
