It's the second straight season in which the Texans have fired a coach after one year. They parted ways with David Culley last January after he went 4-13 in his only season.
The Chicago Bears hired Smith as head coach in 2004 following the dismissal of Dick Jauron. He spent the next eight years as head coach in Chicago. He was very successful, and many see him as one of the best coaches the Bears had in recent memory.
Well, this begs the question: Should the Bears bring back Lovie Smith as defensive coordinator?
I think it would be an excellent addition to the Bears, and let's face it, Alan Willaims did not impress in his first campaign. Smith is known to be a defensive guru and it's also apparent that Smith is loved by his players.
