Chicago Bears tight end Adam Shaheen is stuck behind Trey Burton on the depth chart, but could still easily earn himself a big role. The 23 year old was rolling along through pre-season before he suffered an ankle/foot injury against the Denver Broncos. Shaheen had rolled his ankle, but more than just a regular roll, it looked like it rolled way further than humanly possible. Luckily for now, everything seems on the up and up as head coach Matt Nagy gave an update regarding the injury and doesn't look like Shaheen will have to hit the IR. «No, I don't think so,» Nagy said. «There's different things that could happen with him but we are awaiting the results to come back from these other opinions, then we will have a much clearer picture with that.» Nagy's offense will probably use TE's in interesting formations and the team currently has Shaheen and Burton at the position along with Dion Sims, Daniel Brown and Ben Braunecker, with either Brown or Braunecker likely to be cut. Shaheen was only able to play in 13 games last season.
