Ben Linsey of ESPN made a list of the perfect free-agent matches for all 32 NFL teams, why they fit and why the team linked must sign them.

For the Bears, he listed center Ryan Jensen.

Here is what he had to say about it:

"Chicago's priority needs to be putting quarterback Justin Fields in a better position to succeed in his second season. A veteran center of Jensen's caliber would certainly help. Jensen has graded out above the 70th percentile in gap and zone rushing schemes over the past three seasons, and it's easy to see former offensive lineman and new Bears general manager Ryan Poles valuing the physicality and "nastiness" that Jensen would bring to Chicago's offensive line."

He has a fair point. Jensen is regarded as one of the nastiest players in the league. Don't get me wrong, he doesn't lose his temper or anything like that, but he brings a physical edge to his game. Jensen is coming off arguably his best season in 2021. He was the centerpiece of the Bucs' great o-line. He was extremely respected amongst his peers. The center has not missed a game since he joined the Bucs in 2018. He almost never missed a single snap! With the center position being very weak in free agency, Jensen will be in high demand. He would be a match made in heaven in Chicago.

Getting him in Chicago would not come at a low cost. He could receive a contract of upwards of $12-14 million annually. However, if you ask me, a center of his caliber is totally worth it in Chicago, especially with the new additional cap room Ryan Poles has created in the past couple of days.
