Howard Ponders A Prediction, Hope For The Future?
"Last night the Philadelphia Eagles won their first Super Bowl in franchise history with a thrilling 41-33 victory over the New England Patriots. Former Chicago Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery caught three passes for 73 yards, including the Eagles first touchdown of the game. Jeffery made good on his Super Bowl prediction he made over a year ago. "I guarantee you we are going to win the Super Bowl next year," Jeffery told reporter after the Bears season ending loss to the Minnesota Vikings on January 1. 2017. Jeffery got the part about him getting a Super Bowl ring right, but not what team he would be winning the game with as he went on to sign with Philadelphia during the offseason. While Jeffery is planning on being in a championship parade, the Bears are still looking for a big-time target for Mitch Trubisky. Jeffery's prediction got Bears running back Jordan Howard on Twitter last night…..Guess I need to make a guarantee like Alshon????

Keven Fishbain of The Athletic gave Bears fans some optimism as well by drawing some parallels to the Eagles and the Bears. Now the Bears just need to get the roster up to par.
The Eagles were a last-place team in 2016. With a former Andy Reid assistant as head coach and a No. 2 pick in his second season as the starting QB, plus a great defense and run game, they won the Super Bowl. ????????????
