The Chicago Bears are gearing up for an epic showdown against the Green Bay Packers this Sunday at Soldier Field, marking a fresh episode in their longstanding rivalry.

Safety Jaquan Brisker had to sit out the Week 13 Bears-Packers game last year due to a concussion. He's more than ready to take on the Packers at home this time around. "I missed the second match here in Chicago last year, so I never really got to experience it," said Brisker. "I wasn't even in the stadium. But now, I'm on the edge of my seat, eager to play. I know the atmosphere will be electric, with fans filling the stadium. They didn't get to see me play last year, but they definitely will this year."

Even though Brisker is just in his second NFL season, he's already fully invested in this rivalry. "Let's be clear: people can't stand Green Bay, and neither can I," he stated.

This Sunday's matchup holds extra intrigue as it marks the beginning of a new era for this age-old rivalry, following the exit of Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets. The Bears are looking to snap an eight-game losing streak against the Packers, who have dominated the series with a 23-3 record since 2011.

As for Brisker's participation in Sunday's game, it's currently uncertain due to a soft tissue injury that has kept him out of action for the past three weeks. However, Brisker himself is optimistic about making it onto the field. Wednesday's practice session will be a crucial factor in determining his availability for the game.
