Chicago Bears defensive end Akiem Hicks barely escaped a suspension after coming in contact with an official against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Hicks was ejected from the game, and luckily will play for the Bears this Sunday. While the Miami Dolphins might not be happy to find out they're playing a Bears defense which includes Hicks, linebacker Khalil Mack is extremely happy Hicks will be there Sunday. «You're talking about one of the leaders on this defense,» Mack said Wednesday. «Just knowing that he's going to be out there is going to boost morale for sure.» Hicks was fined $33,425 because he's a first time offender and head coach Matt Nagy hopes there won't be a second time. «We don't want to lose him,» Nagy said. «So to get the news that he is gonna be playing is great news for us. But I think for all of us we use it as a learning lesson. And for Akiem to understand that, too — he was very apologetic. He knew he made a mistake. And that's not who he is. I think his track record shows that.»
