Manhunt Underway, Dallas Police on the Hunt for Chiefs' Standout WR
According to a report by the Dallas Morning News, law enforcement officials are actively searching for Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice in connection with a significant accident that occurred on Saturday in Dallas.
The incident, which took place in northeast Dallas around 6:20 p.m. local time, involved a vehicle believed to be either registered to or leased by Rice. Although details of the crash and any potential injuries have not been disclosed by the police, a police call sheet obtained by the Dallas Morning News confirms the ongoing search for Rice in relation to the accident.
As of Sunday morning, Rice's potential charges and level of involvement in the accident remain unclear. Notably, Rice was not found in Dallas County jail records as of 7 a.m. ET on Sunday.
Rashee Rice, aged 23, hails from the Fort Worth suburb of North Richland Hills, Texas, and completed his collegiate football career at SMU in Dallas before being drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the second round of the NFL draft last year.
Standing at 6 feet 1 inch tall, Rice emerged as a key player for the Chiefs during his rookie season, ranking second on the team in both receptions (79) and receiving yards (938), trailing only Travis Kelce. Additionally, Rice led the team with seven touchdown receptions. He further contributed 26 receptions for 262 yards and a touchdown during the Chiefs' postseason campaign, culminating in their second consecutive Super Bowl victory.
