I think this could be a great match for both parties. The Dolphins are projected to lead all teams with over $62 million in cap space this offseason. In addition to that, they are in desperate need of a solid outside receiver. Jaylen Waddle was amazing in his rookie season, but his size is a big limitation for him and they still need a guy that can win one-on-one matchups outside the hash marks. As for Robinson, it could not be worse than it was last year in Chicago where he received only 66 targets. Although Tua Tagovailoa has not been incredible in his first 2 seasons, he has shown some flashes. It would be an interesting offense with the potential addition of Allen Robinson.
Robinson is very unlikely to get franchise-tagged this off-season. This means that he will be a free agent, and he is probably going to play in another city than Chicago. He has had some great seasons with the Bears including two of them where he had over 1000 yards receiving. However, his time in the Windy City did not end well and his production on the field went down drastically.
I know some Bears fans would like to see the Detroit native have a second chance with the team but I truly believe that a change of scenery is best for both Robinson and the Bears.
