"When Vic Fangio left the Chicago Bears organization to sign as the Denver Broncos head coach, the rest of the defensive coaching staff had question marks over their heads. Would they stay on or would Chuck Pagano hire his own assistants. Not waiting to find out, the Green Bay Packers wanted to grab one of the Bears' assistants. Just two days after the Bears decided to part ways with outside linebackers coach Brandon Staley, Staley decided to join Fangio in Denver. However before that move was made official, the Packers put in a interview request for Staley which the Bears denied.
I'm told the #Packers also put in a slip to interview Brandon Staley, but the #Bears blocked it. Instead follows Fangio out of the division. https://t.co/Tane84LKNY — Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) January 15, 2019
