This is a really staggering number. The thing that scares me is that PFF is usually really accurate with those projections. If he ends up going for that amount, there is no way the Chicago Bears should re-sign him.
I think it is pretty obvious now that Robinson's relationship with the former coaching staff was broken. However, you could have made a case for him to come back on a one-year, prove-it type of deal. But, bringing him back for a contract of $16 million for 3 years would be ludicrous.
Although I do think Robinson could bounce back in the future if he has a better team around him and a good play-caller, it would really be unreasonable to pay him that much. If Pro Football Focus is correct, I wish you the best of luck Allen, but not in Chicago.
