The Bears are hosting this offensive lineman

It has been reported that the Bears are hosting Bills restricted free-agent Ryan Bates on Tuesday.

Bates is only 25 and played in all 17 games for the Bills last year. He showed great promise and versatility playing both guard spots and could fit right in. The advanced metrics show that he is technically sound and could benefit from an increased snap count.

According to multiple reports, Bates met with both the Vikings and Patriots before visiting the Bears.

As a restricted free agent, the Bills have an opportunity to match any contract offer he receives and keep him in Buffalo. Poles would need to value Bates higher than the other teams to land him in Chicago.
