Updates on Mitch Trubisky's future in the NFL

ESPN Staff Writer, Jeremy Fowler wrote a column yesterday on Mitchell Trubisky and his pending free agency. First of all, if you have been living under a rock, Trubisky was the 2nd overall pick for the Bears in 2017. He was not good at all and he was let go last season. You can put the blame on either him or the coaching staff but, it was not a great pick. Trubisky signed a contract as a backup QB for the Bills prior to last season.

However, it looks like it was a good move because this might have helped him gain a starting spot for next season. His teammates and all-pro safety, Jordan Poyer certainly thinks so. He said during an interview that Trubisky is too good to be a backup and that he truly deserves a starting spot in the NFL. If you listen to any coach in Buffalo, they have nothing but great things to say about him. Their head coach, Sean McDermott even mentioned at one point during the season that they had the best backup in the NFL in Mitch.

Fowler asked Trubisky about his time in Chicago. He admitted to playing "robotic" at times in Chicago's offense. He then added: "I'm in a confident space right now.

A lot of experts truly believe that Mitch will be one of the 32 starting quarterbacks in the NFL next season. When you look at the QBs on some of the bottom rosters, I think they have a fair point. How the tables have turned...
