WATCH: Aaron Rodgers Speaks Out on his Season Ending Injury in First Live Interview since Rupturing his Achilles Tendon

This past week, the NFL world was shocked to see Jets QB Aaron Rodgers go down in just his 4th play of the NFL season and as a New York Jet. After being ruled out of the game, it was soon announced that Rodgers had an an Achilles tendon rupture, which requires surgery and will keep him off the field for most likely at least one season.

After his surgery, Rodgers has been recovering, and has decided to join his good friend Pat McAfee, live on "The Pat McAfee Show:"

During his discussion with McAfee, Rodgers talked about how he is feeling mentally, after the season ending injury:

Rodgers also reveals that right when he got injured, he knew right away the damage that was done. He knew before the MRI, and knew that his achilles tendon had ruptured.

Rodgers has not fully declined the chance of a return this season, but as we all know, it is highly unlikely. However, he is feeling focused and dedicated in rehabbing his injury, and plans on "shocking people" with his return.
