Staley Da Bear is synonymous with the Chicago Bears and has been since his debut in 2003. The Bears improved that year from 4-12 to 7-9, clearly due to Staley's influence alone.
He has been a pro bowl mascot five times, in 2004, 2007, 2009, 2010, and 2013. He has also won a gold medal for rock paper scissors, and a silver medal for the staring contest at the Celebrity Mascot Olympics.
Staley participates in over 300 charity events a year and made his initial rise to fame in 2006 cheering on the Super Bowl-bound Bears. He also appears in parades, advertisements for the Chicago Rush, and some other local events. Staley's philanthropic work includes Fuel up to Play 60, Mini Monsters, and Tales to Tackle.
Other records Staley owns are, the most t-shirts bounced into the stands at 1.920, the longest butt bounce at 40 yards, the most autographs signed at 16,726, and the most high-fives given at 34,051,054.06.
Staley has been a mainstay for the Bears for years now and we all look forward to seeing whatever antics he has in line for us next.
