"The Chicago Bears were probably hoping they had landed the perfect Kyle Long replacement on the waiver wire. Unfortunately it didn't work out as planned. Earlier this week, the Los Angeles Rams placed offensive guard Jamon Brown on waivers and released him. He would eventually be claimed by the New York Giants and according to ESPN's Field Yates he had a bunch of teams trying to land him. Yates reports that the Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers, Baltimore Ravens and Tennessee Titans all put in a claim for him along with the Giants. The Giants had top priority and landed the 6'4" 340lb 2015 third round pick, who was released by the Rams because they acquired Dante Fowler form the Jacksonville Jaguars during the NFL trade deadline.
