Norton III, the son of four-time Super Bowl champion Ken Norton Jr., spent the 2021 season with the Seahawks before moving on to UCLA as a football analyst in 2022.
Norton III, a former defensive back at Azusa Pacific, is still looking to make his mark in the NFL. With a highly respected coach for a father, Norton Jr., who served as the Seahawks' defensive coordinator under Pete Carroll from 2018 to 2021, Norton III has undoubtedly learned a lot about the game from a young age.
The Bears are hoping that he can bring some of that knowledge and experience to their own defensive coaching staff. Norton III comes from a family of accomplished athletes, with his father and grandfather both having made their marks in the world of professional athletics.
However, he's not simply relying on his family name to land him a job. Instead, he's eager to learn and grow as a coach, having worked with some of the best in the business, including future Hall of Fame coach Pete Carroll and college coaching legend Chip Kelly.
While Norton III's specific role with the Bears has yet to be announced, there's no doubt that he will bring his wealth of knowledge and experience to the table.
