Kahlil Mack has been a truly dominant force since he joined the NFL in 2014. You could make a case that, after Aaron Donald, he might have been the best defensive player in the league since 2014. He was great in Oakland and now he is also very good in Chicago. However, last season, he got injured after playing just 7 games.

I believe he could be in the mix for comeback player of the year in 2022, if he goes back to his form next season. Mack is still great at what he does. In fact, he was on pace to have over 16 sacks last year. I think that a well-rested Mack paired up with an amazing defensive-minded head coach could be a duo for the ages.

The comeback player of the year, like it or not, has been mostly reserved for players coming back from an injury. Some people would like it to be more concentrated on players that have a "breakout" year like Robert Quinn last year, but it is not. With that being said, I really think Mack has all the talent in the world and he will be helped tremendously by the new coaching staff and the great players like Robert Quinn and Roquan Smith around him.

Mack will have to live up to his immense contract. His cap hit is actually over $30 million next season. It is the second-highest non-QB cap hit in the NFL after TJ Watt.

So, if you want to make some profit, put money on Khalil Mack's 2022 CPOY and maybe even DPOY right now and thank me later!
