Adam Schefter reports that former Bears safety Deon Bush has agreed to terms on a one-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Bush was with the bears for the past six seasons. He was drafted in the 4th round of the 2016 NFL draft. In 2021, he had 2 interceptions and 5 passes defended. He also added 40 tackles.

He was a solid piece of depth that I would have liked Ryan Poles to bring back but it looks like he and Matt Eberflus decided he did not fit well in the new defensive scheme.

The Bears' secondary, especially at the safety positions, has fallen off the last two seasons. There's been a lot of disappointing play, starting with Eddie Jackson. Ryan Poles will have to find a way to bring in some talented players so Coach Eberflus is able to use them wisely.
