While all the focus regarding the Bears defense this week has obviously been on Khalil Mack, it's not the only good news regarding Vic Fangio's group. Bears head coach Matt Nagy had some great news for reporters and fans on Tuesday. Rookie Roquan Smith looks to be on track to play in Week 1 and he's got another former first round pick ready to join him. Even though he fractured his hand during the preseason, Nagy believes Leonard Floyd should be ready to suit up in Week 1 too. «Leonard did well today,» Nagy said, via the Chicago Tribune. «He had the club on, so he was out there running around, just going through his assignments. Nothing is affected with his legs, so he was good there. He's just got to get used to feeling how that is with your hand in a club.» Mack might not get full playing time in Week 1 as he held out the whole preseason, but Bears' fans should get a nice glimpse of how their defense should look for the rest of season.
