"The Chicago Bears rebuilding continues this season, and fans are excited with the changes that new head coach Matt Nagy should bring. Majority of Bears' fans believe former head coach John Fox did more harm than good as he finished with an overall 14-34 record during his three seasons. However, in Fox's defense, he didn't exactly inherit a contender when he took over from Marc Trestman in 2015.After having some time to reflect, Fox spoke with John Mullin of NBC Sports Chicago and he believes the Bears are set to turn a big corner and he wishes he could have stayed on to be there. «It would've been nice to see it through,» Fox said. «That's kind of a bitter pill but you sort things out and move forward." The former Bears' coach says it took a lot of work to clean up Trestman and Phil Emery's mess and sees only positive things for the Bears future. «I do think it's closer than people think. We inherited a mess, . . . but I felt we were on the brink at the end. I think that [Halas Hall] building is definitely different; they feel it. I do think that it was a positive. . . .«You wish some things would've happened differently obviously, but there was a lot positive that happened.»Do you think Fox left the Bears in a better position for success than where they were when he started?
