Ahead of the NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears have garnered trade interest for quarterback Justin Fields, positioning themselves advantageously with the No. 1 overall pick and a quarterback who holds significant trade appeal.

Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer reports that during the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama, the Bears received several inquiries from teams about Fields. Despite not actively marketing Fields, these interactions have provided the Bears an opportunity to evaluate his market value. "Chicago staffers received inquiries from other teams on Fields in Mobile. The Bears haven't actively shopped Fields, but these discussions have helped them begin to assess the 2021 first-rounder's market value," Breer noted.
In the coming weeks, the Bears' decision-making team will deliberate on their quarterback strategy for 2024, weighing the option to stick with Fields or to draft a potential replacement such as Caleb Williams.
With the possibility of trading Fields, the Bears recognize the urgency of making a decision promptly. The window of opportunity with QB-seeking teams is currently open, but it's expected to narrow. Therefore, a decision is anticipated before February concludes, ensuring the Bears maximize their leverage in any potential trade discussions.
