View this post on InstagramLeague News: Bears S Adrian Amos is likely to depart in free agency this offseason. The Bears attempted to sign Amos to an extension last offseason, but their talks went stagnant after failing to find common ground with his representatives. With free agency one month away, the Bears have not re-engaged Amos about a new deal and are bracing for his departure. While nothing has been confirmed by Amos' camp, the belief is that he's looking for a contract worth $8M-$10M per year and that's a price the Bears are unwilling to pay. If Amos is unable to garner any big money offers in free agency, he could return to Chicago on a short-term deal as both sides remain open to a reunion. Amos, 25, played out the final year of his 4-year/$2.512M rookie contract and is set to become an unrestricted free-agent when the new league year begins on March 13th. Amos started all 16 games for the Bears this season and recorded 73 total tackles, two interceptions, nine pass defenses, one sack, and a fumble recovery. In one playoff start against the Eagles, Amos compiled six total tackles, one interception, and two pass defenses. The Bears currently have $5.918M of available cap space, per Spotrac.com. #nfl #nflnews #nfllive #nflupdates #nflnow #nflnetwork #espn #espnnews #espnupdates #espnnow #sports #sportsnation #sport #active #fitness #football #exercise #ball #game #games #news #fantasyfootball #fantasysports #nfloffseason #nflfreeagency #trending #adrianamos #bears
