I came across an interesting post on Twitter from the account "@NFLDraftBites," and was intrigued by a mock trade scenario:
As seen, this account created a scenario where the Bears trade Fields to the Steelers in exchange for WR Dionte Johnson, a 2024 4th-round and 2025 3rd-round pick.
Johnson was drafted by the Steelers as a 3rd-round pick back in 2019. In his rookie year, Johnson was named as a Second-Team All-Pro and was voted into the Pro Bowl in 2021.
Though Johnson was under some controversy this past season with his effort and attitude, he is still a crucial player to a team, and can help elevate an offense.
Though I found this scenario to be intriguing, I would not encourage the Bears to make this offer, as though Johnson could help build around a young QB, I believe that the Bears could acquire someone with better stats and a better attitude in exchange for Fields.
