Should The Bears Tag Bryce Callahan.
The Chicago Bears need to make a big decision this offseason as they'll have to try and do their best to keep one of Adrian Amos or Bryce Callahan. From all accounts it seems the Bears will likely let Amos walk as he's looking for big money, so could the Bears use a tag on Callahan instead?It'll be pricey, whether it's a franchise tag at $16million or transition tag at $14million, is Callahan worth that money?NFL.com doesn't think so. "It's unlikely the Bears would seriously consider paying Callahan more than $15 million, but I include him here because it's not that crazy and he's a candidate to get a sneaky-huge contract in free agency. Slot cornerback is now a starting position, and Callahan is coming off an excellent year."
Even Pro Football Talk doesn't see the Bears tagging anybody. «There's no one due to become a free agent who would or should merit serious tag consideration.»
