Terron Armstead might not be the best move for Ryan Poles
Terron Armstead is one of the last big-name OL remaining for the Bears to possibly pick up in free agency.
However, I don't think this would be the best way to go for GM Ryan Poles. Let me start by saying that, of course, Armstead is one of the best players at his position in all of football. He can really be a game-changer upfront. But, he is currently 31 years of age and has never played more than 15 games in a season. In fact, he has missed 23 games in the past 5 years for some context. That is a lot of injuries. History has shown to us that when you get over 30, you normally don't get healthier in the NFL.
I'm not saying I would not be thrilled to have him in a Bears uniform, I just think there are more realistic and safer options on the market or in the draft. In addition, the Bears would have to pay him a lot of money and we have seen that Ryan Poles is looking to be very careful with the contracts he is hanging out this off-season.
