The Chicago Bears spent a lot of attention on the TE position for the 2017 season. The team signed Dion Sims during free agency and drafted Adam Shaheen during the second round of the draft. The season didn't go as planned for the team's TE's and was highlighted by starter Zach Miller suffering a horrific injury during the season possibly ending his career. With Matt Nagy taking over as head coach, Shaheen is likely to be the one to step up at the position as Sims has been nothing more than a glorified blocker. The team paid Sims $18million over three years with $10million guaranteed, however $4million out of the $10million guaranteed only kicks in March 16th. Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports that because of that specific detail combined with the fact he only caught 15 passes for 180 yards and one touchdown, Sims will likely be released by the Bears in the coming weeks. Do you think Sims was misused by the old staff and has more to offer, or should the Bears cut ties with TE?
