"Last week Brian Urlacher received a knock on the door of his hotel room in Minneapolis and got the news of a lifetime as he learned that he will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame this August.
Urlacher will become the fifth Chicago Bears linebacker in the Hall of Fame joining George Connor, Bill George, Dick Butkus and Mike Singletary. Urlacher believes that list should go up to six with the addition of his long-time teammate Lance Briggs.
«I don't think it will end with me anytime soon,» Urlacher said, referring to Briggs, per Chris Emma of 670 The Score. «There's another guy eligible in a couple years that should be up here as well.»
Urlacher and Briggs played 10 seasons together with the Bears and the duo put up some amazing numbers. Briggs finished his career with 936 tackles, 16 interceptions, 16 forced fumbles and five defensive touchdowns.
Briggs will not be eligible for the Hall of Fame until 2020, so Urlacher will have to wait at least two years to be joined by his friend. "
