"Many Chicago Bears fans were hoping to wake up to the news that head coach John Fox was no longer employed by the team. We did get breaking news this morning of the first in-season firing of a head coach except it did not come from Halas Hall, but rather from New York. The Giants announced this morning that they have fired head coach Ben McAdoo as well as general manager Jerry Reese. Defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo will take over as interim head coach, with Kevin Abrams serving as the interim general manager. New York went 11-5 and made the playoffs under McAdoo last season, but this season has been an absolute disaster. The firing came a day after McAdoo botched the benching of quarterback Eli Manning and a 24-17 loss to the Oakland Raiders that dropped their record to 2-10. The Giants moved on from McAdoo after he went 13-15 in his near two seasons with the team. Meanwhile, the Bears are 12-32 under John Fox and he still has a job to show up to today. Must be nice to have ownership that actually has expectations of greatness. "
