Eddy Pineiro Comes Up With Excuse For Missing Field Goal.

"The Chicago Bears have been coming under fire for their loss to the Los Angeles Chargers this past weekend. A lot of bad playing calling by head coach Matt Nagy, some bad decisions by quarterback Mitch Trubisky all topped off by a missed field goal by Eddy Pineiro. On Tuesday Pineiro explained why he thinks he missed the field goal. The Bears' kicker said it was because of where the ball was placed and didn't want the ball on the left side hash marks. «I didn't. But, I mean, it is what it is?»
«It's just the aiming points,» Pineiro said. «I mean the left hash is going to be a different kick than (from) the right hash. And it's going to be a different kick in the middle.»

Asked Eddy Pineiro directly if he wanted to be on the left hash for the final game-deciding kick Sunday. He said that was not his preferred spot.(Pineiro immediately felt very bad for saying that out loud. But man ...)
