The Buffalo Bills have announced the acquisition of wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling, bolstering their receiving corps following the departures of two key players, including Stefon Diggs.

Signing a one-year contract with the Bills on Tuesday, just one day after his workout with the team, the sixth-year veteran brings considerable experience and success to Buffalo. At 6-foot-4 and 206 pounds, Valdes-Scantling is celebrated for his contributions to two Super Bowl victories with the Kansas City Chiefs over the last two seasons. During this period, he amassed 63 receptions for 1,002 yards and three touchdowns, including a pivotal 16-yard TD catch in Kansas City's 25-22 Super Bowl triumph over San Francisco in February.

Originally drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the fifth round in 2018, Valdes-Scantling spent four seasons in Green Bay, where he recorded 123 receptions for 2,153 yards and 13 touchdowns. Transitioning from catching passes from renowned quarterbacks Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes, he now joins forces with Buffalo's Josh Allen.

Valdes-Scantling's arrival contributes to an increasingly diverse receiver group in Buffalo. This group also includes recent free-agent signings such as Curtis Samuel, Mack Hollins, Chase Claypool, and Quintez Cephus, as the Bills look to compensate for the losses of Diggs, who was recently traded to Houston, and Gabe Davis, who left in free agency. Together, Diggs and Davis accounted for 152 catches, 1,929 yards, and 15 of Allen's 29 touchdown passes last season.

To further strengthen their receiving options, the Bills used their top draft pick to select Keon Coleman from Florida State at No. 33 last month.
