Hard Knocks premiered on HBO last night, and for many fans, it was the first real glimpse we got into the Caleb Williams-led Bears.
Overall, it does feel like the Chicago Bears are in good hands right now. For fans and analysts on Twitter, the first episode was certainly encouraging, to say the very least.
Below, you can find five takeaways from analyst Just Another Year Chicago: Bears, on Twitter. They are pretty excited about this team, and we believe fans should be too considering the analysis below.
"My overall thoughts from Hard Knocks Episode 1.
-This team is special. The energy, the characters, the respect for each other, haven't seen this on a Bears team in ages.
-Matt Eberflus has evolved not only with his looks, but as a coach. Listening to Nick Saban (who was his coach btw) and accounting for how to treat Williams, how to develop a team, and a winning culture is being put on display.
-Caleb Williams is truly the best #1 overall pick in decades. He is human and makes mistakes, but how he bounces back is incredible. He listens, asks questions, and learns quickly. He is so mature as well and knows exactly what he needs to do to be the best.
-Theo Benedet is also the man, and praying that he heals quickly.
-Ryan Poles is a rare GM. Carries a lot of emotion in his choices, wants the best for guys. The entire DJ Moore contract scene was awesome. Poles not only built something special, but is a special GM as well.
Overall, a 8.7/10 grade for episode 1. I'd like to see some more intensity in episode 2. But, a great way to kick off the series."
