Bears rookie ruled OUT for the season with awful injury

During the Bears' final preseason game this past week, rookie RB Ian Wheelerr went down with a knee injury. Now, it has been confirmed that he tore his ACL:

The Bears have placed Wheeler on IR and he will most likely miss the entire 2024 season.

Wheeler went undrafted this offseason but was picked up shortly after by the Bears. He has been impressing the team this offseason at camp and in preseason and was looking to make the final roster.

Sadly, now his hopes of making the 53-man roster is gone and he will have to wait at least until next season to make a come back.
