Sweeney was the Bills' 7th-round draft pick back in 2019, and stayed in Buffalo until his rookie contract expired following the 2022 season.
Sweeney has dealt with some health scares in the past, as during the 2020 season, he was diagnosed with a heart condition.
Sweeney was put on the COVID-19 list ahead of week 7 in 2020 after coming in close contact with a teammate who had tested positive.
Before making a return to the team, the Bills team cardiologist was checking Sweeney before allowing him to return, to where he then diagnosed him with myocarditis, a heart condition that can be linked to the virus.
Sweeney then had to miss the entire season and was not sure if he would ever play football again. However, he was cleared to play and has been attempting a comeback since.
Sweeney signed with the Giants last offseason. During training camp however, he collapsed on the field. Thankfully he received medical attention right away and was okay.
Here's to hoping Sweeney can have a healthy and successful season in Chicago!
