Chicago Bears have signed former Texans tight end
As reported by NFL reporter Aaron Wilson, the Chicago Bears have signed former Houston Texans tight end Teagan Quitoriano:
Quitoriano played his college career at Oregon State, where he finished his college career with a total of 40 catches for 512 yards and 6 touchdowns.
In the 2022 draft, the Texans selected Quitoriano with their 5th-round selection.
Unfortunately injuries have made a negative impact on his career so far, as in his 2 seasons with the Texans, Quitoriano made only a total of 9 catches for 146 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns.
Ahead of this 2024 season, the Texans waived Quitoriano on an injury settlement.
The Bears have decided to sign Quitoriano to their practice squad.
The Bears currently have a solid tight end room, with players like Cole Kmet, Gerald Everett, and Marcedes Lewis. Adding Quitoriano will put more players on the Bears practice squad and could potentially put him on their depth chart in the future.
Quitoriano is only 24 years old and if he can stay healthy, then he can have a long career with this team.
The Bears are currently 1-2 so far this season and are looking to make some improvements to the team. Many fans want the Bears to fire their whole coaching staff, while many others want the Bears to trade for/sign an offensive linemen.
The Bears adding another tight end can help with the blocking for QB Caleb Williams and will add more depth to the roster.
