Chicago Bears president Kevin Warren is adamant that the team is in desperate need of a new stadium, as Soldier Field is about to turn 100 years old.

The team has proposed a new $4.7 billion Stadium that would be on the water. Overall, it is a cool idea that already has $2 billion of public funding. However, the rest of the money would have to come from taxpayers. Illinois governor JB Pritzker is not impressed with this idea, whatsoever. However, Warren is now claiming that if the team does not get its new stadium, the city as a whole will be left behind.

"This is truly one of those situations that one plus one will equal 100 because if we don't wrap our arms around some of these construction projects, we're gonna fall behind as a city, and we need to do more here in Chicago."

Only time will tell whether or not the stadium will actually be approved. Let us know if you believe it will happen, in the poll down below. Additionally, stay tuned to Let's Bear Down for the latest news and updates from around the football world.
