As seen in the article, Davenport predicts that the Bears will trade away LB Tremaine Edmunds before the 2024 season begins.

The Bears signed Edmunds last offseason on a 4-year deal for $72 million, following his 5 seasons played in Buffalo.

However, at least according to Davenport, Edmunds was a let down in the 2023 season, and seems to have been overpaid.

Davenport feels like trading Edmunds would be a smart move for the Bears, but he worries about other teams wanting to pay him that kind of money.
