WATCH: Former NFL QB Calls Out the Chicago Bears for Trading Justin Fields

While on a podcast this past week, former NFL QB and current analyst Steve Beuerlein called out the Chicago Bears over them trading away QB Justin Fields:
As heard, Beuerlein believes that the Bears made a mistake over the trade, saying:
"I think the Bears, if they trade away that first pick, commit to Fields for one more year. What they would've gotten in exchange for that first pick could have solidified that football team in a lot of areas, and prepared, and set the table to go on a really nice run either this year or next year"
Fields was drafted by the Bears back in 2021 as their 1st-round pick, and though we saw glimpses of stardom from Fields, he was never able to lead the team to a winning record.
The Bears then acquired the 1st-overall pick for the 2024 draft and decided to trade fields away before drafting QB Caleb Williams.
The Bears traded Fields to the Steelers in exchange for a 6th-round pick and possibly a 4th-round pick for the 2025 draft.
Beuerlein believes that the Bears should have kept Fields for another year and to instead trade the 2024 pick.
