Seven-round 2024 NFL mock draft: Six edge rushers, five trades, five QBs in wild Round 1
In his mock draft, Reuter shows the Bears trading their 9th overall pick and a 3rd-rounder to the Colts in exchange for the 15th overall pick, a 2nd-rounder, and a 4th-rounder.
With the 2nd-rounder, which is the 46th overall pick, Reuter predicts the Bears drafting Adonai Mitchell, standout WR from Texas.
Mitchell spent his first 2 college years playing for Georgia, where he was a consistent player who ended up making the winning TD catch in the team's National Championship game in 2022. However, he decided to leave Georgia and transferred to Texas for his final college season.
His 1 year in Texas was his best yet, where Mitchell finished this past season appearing in 14 games, making a total of 55 catches for 845 yards, along with 11 touchdowns. He was then named as the Big 12 Offensive Newcomer of the Year and a Second-team All-Big 12.
Scouts have noted Mitchell's above average speed and body control as being positives in his game. However, scouts have also been worried about his poor blocking abilities and trouble fighting for the ball in the air.
