The Chicago Bears may finally be turning a corner from their longstanding struggles towards significant success.

In the NFL draft's first round on Thursday, the Bears secured two potential keystones for their franchise: Caleb Williams, a quarterback from the University of Southern California, and Rome Odunze, a wide receiver from the University of Washington.

Williams, hailed as a generational talent, finds himself in a rare position for a highly-drafted quarterback. Surrounded by top-tier talent from the outset, he is poised to excel immediately. Nick Wright, speaking on Fox Sports 1's "First Things First," predicted that not only will the Bears win at least 10 games in 2024, but Williams will emerge as the NFC's premier quarterback and guide the Bears to a Super Bowl within the next few years.

Historically, the Bears have faced challenges, lacking a truly elite quarterback since Sid Luckman in the 1940s. Despite winning the 1985 Super Bowl with a formidable team, their quarterback Jim McMahon was competent but not exceptional, triumphing mainly through what many consider the greatest defense in NFL history.

However, the current outlook is promising. The offensive lineup, bolstered by Williams and Odunze, already features D.J. Moore, a consistent performer, and Keenan Allen, a six-time Pro Bowler recently added through free agency.

While a Super Bowl victory might not be imminent, Chicago's loyal fans can look forward to an NFL team that is both thrilling to watch and a source of pride.
